Over the last few weeks, Audrey and I have met up with Sara Feasel and Joyce Helfers to plan a convocation. Sara and Joyce both work at The Hope Center, an after-care facility for girls who survived sex trafficking. Our convocation date is currently scheduled for February 6th. The goal of the presentation is to bring awareness to teach students about the issue of sex trafficking, how they can protect themselves, and how they can help put an end to sex trafficking. Sara and Joyce will share a testimony of one of the survivors. On February 6th and 7th, Sara and Joyce will be in the hallway by the cafeteria to answer any questions students may have. Also, on February 7th, we will have a booth where students can get a red X on their hand in honor of The End It Movement. Students will also be able to get a wristband. It is a gray silicone wristband with "The Hope Center" and "Speak up for those who can not" written on it in red letters. "Hebrews 13:3" will be engraved on the inside. We hope that students will be moved by this presentation and that they will join us in the fight to stop sex trafficking.
